Join me in this expedition in one of the best places of the Chilean Patagonia: Laguna Cerro Castillo.

Welcome to a famous trekking spot of the amazing Cerro Castillo Natural Reserve. It is a protected area of more than 179.550 hectares of extension.

Cerro Castillo peak has an altitude of 2.675 meters and is considered one of the more classic trekking trails of the region.

This trek is suitable for intermediate-level mountaineers because you will hike up to 915 meters. The walk will take us about 8 hours and although it is not necessary prior experience, a good physical condition is a plus.

During this full-day trek, you won’t believe such incredible natural landscapes and views. You will admire the Aysen and Ibanez Rivers, separated by the famous Southern Road or Carretera Austral. The amazing glaciers on the southern slopes of Cerro Castillo is another viewpoint you will enjoy during this trek.
