Description

Loma del Diablo is one of the best ski tours due to its approaching time and long meters for backcountry skiing. In addition its snow-capped terrain makes it accessible to all levels of skiers!

Regarding the itinerary, the day starts with a one-hour transfer to the Loma del Diablo's foot. We will then load our skis in the backpacks and walk for about 1 hour until finding some snow. Now it's time to put the skins on and ascend up to the top. The best part comes once we are at the summit. Here we will have the opportunity to make all the turns that our legs allow us!

Loma del Diablo is a large bowl where we can choose the best faces and slopes to ski. Of course it will depend on the snow conditions and the group level. Keep in mind that we will gain a total altitude of 1300 meters in a couple of hours. So a good fitness level will be necessary.

This ski touring day can be made all year round but the ideal months are from June to November. This period offers the best quality and amount of snow. Actually I also offer many other similar ski tours in the area, like this full day program in Cerro Madsen.

So what are you waiting for to contact me and book your place? I am eager to be your guide!

I am also member of El Chaltén Search and Rescue team. I have several WFR certificates with different schools such as NOLS & Fundacion Ecomed.

I speak Spanish, English and French fluently

My biggest passion is Alpine Rock climbing & Ski Mountaineering. Get in touch with me if you are interested in discovering the unique spots in the Fitz Roy massif, and other gems around El Chaltén! I work together with a group of guides, so if I'm not available when requested, one of my colleagues will guide you.
