Lomnicky Peak ascent in the High Tatras

Join me on this incredible adventure climbing the second highest summit, and the most gorgeous one, in the High Tatras: Lomnicky Peak. With beautiful views of the Mala Studena Valley, the Five Spis Lakes, the Ladovy and the Gerlachovsky Peak, among others, this peak also know as “The Grandfather” is worth climbing for.

We’ll use the cable car that will take us from Tatranska Lomnica up to Lomnicke Pass. Then, we’ll begin our climbing trip using the traditional Lomnicky ascent route. This route is secured with chains and climbing protection. It will take us over Lomnicka Kopa. Once on the summit, we’ll get to enjoy some stunning views, such as the Vysoka, Rysy, and Krivan!

On our way down, we’ll visit the beautiful Skalnate Lake and take the cable car back.

This trip is recommended for people in good physical condition and with some experience in mountaineering. The route includes some complicated passages. The ascent and descent will take about 5-6 hours.
