Description

Located near the Auronzo di Cadore in the amazing Dolomites of Italy is the Monte Popera (3,046m). And, on this 3-day trip, you will get to explore this wonderful peak.

Beginning at the Auronzo di Cadore, we will take a taxi to the Auronzo Refuge, which rests at the foot of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Once there, we will trek under the Tre Cime, the Monte Paterno and the Croda dei Toni until we reach the Comici Refuge, where we will spend the night.

On the second day of the trip, we will trek to the summit of the Monte Popera. Once we reach the summit, you will get to enjoy, and photograph, the incredible views you will get of the Sesto Dolomites. You will also get to see the Carnic Alps, Giulie and Tauri. Afterwards, we will make our way down to the Carducci Refuge, where we will spend the night.

On the final day of the trip, you will get to take plenty of great photos at the Croda dei Toni. Afterwards, we will return to the Auronzo di Cadore.

While not a difficult trip, it is important that participants are in good physical condition, as we will be doing plenty of walking each day.

The Dolomites are famous with explorers from around the world. And, after this 3-day trip that will take you to the summit of the Monte Popera, it isn’t difficult to see why. To join me on this trip, please send a request.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
