Located within the Rila mountain range of Bulgaria, and the Rila national park, Mount Malyovitsa (2,729m) is a fantastic peak. And during the winter season, which is when we will scale the mountain, it looks beautiful when draped with powder.

We will spend 2 days hiking to the summit of this magnificent mountain. And midway through the trip, at the end of the first day, we will spend the night at the Malyovitsa hut. The hut will provide you with a comfortable place to rest. Thus allowing you to recharge for the following day’s hike to the summit. The area around the hut itself is beautiful and is well worth some exploration, which you will be given ample time to do.

On the second day of the trek, we will hike for approximately 6 hours until we reach the summit of the mountain. Once there, you will be given all the time you need to gaze in awe at the incredible scenery. From the snow capped peaks of the Rila mountains to the snow covered forests and frozen lakes below, the sights you will get to enjoy are nothing short of amazing.

Since this hike involves scaling a mountain, participants should be in good physical condition. Also, some previous mountain hiking experience is recommended as well.

Mount Malyovitsa is one of the most thrilling peaks to climb in the Rila mountains. And over the course of 2 days, you will get to make your way up to its summit. From there you will get to enjoy the vastness of the entire Rila mountain range. So if you would like to join me on this exciting journey, just send me a request, and I’ll be happy to guide you.

I can also lead you on another 2 day hike to the summit of Mount Musala.
