Description

At 2864 m, Mt Triglav rises as the highest peak in Slovenia and also in the Julian Alps. It's a very symbolic mountain for Slovenians and a classic mountaineering challenge.

From the town of Mojstrana, there are three parallel alpine valleys that lead to Mt Triglav. The southeast of them is Krma Valley, which is one of the easiest and most common routes to ascend this mountain. In fact, this route is also used in winter ascents.

I recommend to do this tour in 2 days. We can stay at Triglavski dom in Kredarica for the night. Then, depending on weather conditions, we can decide to climb to the summit the first day on the afternoon or the second day in the morning.

From the hut, there's an exposed but safe via ferrata that will take us to the summit of Triglav in two hours.

It's also possible to do this trip in just one day. However, you need to be a super fit person.

Do you want to climb Mt Triglav and enjoy the beauty of the Julian Alps from the summit? Then contact me so we can organize this trip together!

You can also join me for other trips in this area, like climbing Siroka Pec ridge.
