Experience the thrill of multipitch climbing on the superb granite walls of the High Tatras, Slovakia’s premier alpine destination.
From easier routes perfect for building confidence to more demanding climbs that challenge seasoned adventurers, the Tatras offer a world-class setting for every level of climber.
With short approaches leading to long and rewarding ascents, each day is a complete alpine adventure. Starting directly from your accommodation—most often a cozy mountain hut, which we can help arrange—you’ll spend a full day in the high mountain terrain: hiking in, climbing stunning granite walls, and descending back down.
Depending on your fitness and preferences, this trip can be booked as a single unforgettable day or extended into multiple days of climbing.
You should have some prior climbing experience—whether indoor or outdoor, at any level—as the difficulty of the routes will be tailored to your skills. What is essential, however, is that you already feel comfortable with the basics of belaying, rappelling, and using climbing equipment, since these are key parts of every ascent.
Join us for an expertly guided multipitch climbing experience in the High Tatras. Book your trip today and discover why these iconic Slovak peaks are a must for every passionate climber!
Meeting point
The approach from the hut usually takes 1–2 hours. Climbs range between 120 and 500 meters; when the routes are shorter, it is possible to complete several in a day. The descent takes about the same time as the approach. Overall, the days involve relatively few kilometers of hiking but require solid familiarity with climbing techniques and equipment.
Accommodation
We usually stay overnight in a mountain hut or a mountain hotel.
