Type of Trip
Located in the Julian Alps, Prisank (2,547m), which can be found above the Vrsic Pass, is one of the finest peaks in Slovenia.
While it isn’t as mammoth as other mountains in the world, or even the Alps for that matter, that doesn’t mean this mountain is any less impressive. What it may lack in size however, it more than makes up for in beauty. And on this trip, my goal is to make sure you have a chance to see as much of that beauty as possible. Hence why this is a via ferrata adventure.
Anybody who has enjoyed via ferrata knows exactly how amazing the views can be. But for anybody who has yet to enjoy it, let me assure you the views are unforgettable. I think via ferrata is like a backstage pass to a mountain range. And because you are literally affixed to the mountain itself, you are granted a truly unique and thrilling perspective. And Prisank, along with the rest of the Julian Alps, are definitely deserving of that perspective.
Prisank, despite not being 3000 metres high, is still a tough peak. So you should have some previous mountaineering experience and be physically fit. However, the challenges faced will surely be offset by the gorgeous views you will get to enjoy.
There is just nothing quite like seeing things from a via ferrata. And my goal on this trip is for you to see the amazing Prisank peak in a way that you will never forget.
Please send me a request to book this trip if you want me to guide you.
And if you would like to climb Prisank to its summit, I can also guide you there on this one day expedition.

About the Guide
I'm a 38-year-old aspirant IFMGA guide and alpine instructor based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. I have been guiding since 2014, a profession that I love because it allows me to be in contact with nature and to share my passion for the mountains with my clients. I especially like to share my love for the outdoors and knowledge with young people!
I specialize in both easy and more difficult climbing and via ferrata during the summer and ski touring and ice climbing during the winter. I like very much guiding in the remote parts of the Julian Alps, especially in the Eastern Slovenian Alps and the Dolomites.
