One of the most famous walls in the Aosta region, Il Paretone’s great quality rock is highly popular among climbers in northern Italy.
Although it sometimes gets too hot during the peak of summer, it’s a great option for the spring and autumns months, when it’s still cold in other spots in the Alps.
Il Paretone offers several routes of different levels, though all of them are quite long and require a half day or more. You need some solid rock climbing experience to climb here as most routes go from 5c to 7a, with 6a as an average.
I’ll choose the right route for you depending on what your wishes are for our day together. I’m a local aspirant guide, born and bred in the Aosta region, so I know all the routes on Il Paretone!
We can also turn this day trip to Il Paretone into a multi-day program. There are dozens of routes available so believe me when I tell you you won’t get bored. In fact, it’s a great option to take good advantage of the great conditions here.
Sounds like fun? Contact me now and we’ll start planning our rock climbing day at Il Paretone in the Aosta Valley. You can also check out my rock climbing day trip to Pilastro di Lomasti, another great option in this area.
