Description

Running from the Canadian border for 90 miles south, toward the heart of Montana, Lake Koocanusa serves as a stunningly scenic backdrop for many rock climbing experiences!

After meeting up in Whitefish – 80 minutes southwest of our climbing destination near Stone Hill – we will head out toward this beautiful lake and get ready for an incredible day of climbing.

The area of the lake near Stone Hill is home to more than 500 sport, trad and top rope climbs for participants of all levels.

For beginners, we can go over essential safety and climbing tips, getting you out onto the rocks and up your first modest ascents.

More advanced climbers will enjoy the opportunity to have their pick from any number of scenic routes, all of which offer phenomenal views out over the lakes as well as into the mountains.

Regardless of your skill level, we will be climbing over high-quality quartzite which adds to the experience as it is not very common. Just the thing to make a special climbing trip unforgettable
