Description

The Selvaggio Blu is a wild and mythical trek in the beautiful island of Sardinia in Italy. I invite you to join me on this 8-day amazing adventure, from Santa Maria Navarrese going up to Cala Luna, walking along the east coast of the island over the blue waters of the Mediterranenan Sea.

The Selvaggio Blu -the “Wild Blue”trek- takes us through incredible and absolutely fascinating places. It is considered to be the most difficult trek in Italy. Starting and ending at Santa Maria Navarrese, the itinerary runs along the gulf of Orosei, from Baunei to Cala Gonone, immersed in the thick Mediterranean scrub, between overhanging rock faces and gullies leading to white coves with golden sand.

Calling the Selvaggio Blu a trek may be reductive. The trails are still visible, but the orientation on them is difficult. Old shepherd and coal miners passages are usable. It is a long and demanding adventure, with many challenges: the orientation on thick vegetation, rock climbing passages and, last but not least, the search for water. All this will give us moments of intense adventure and emotions, with breathtaking views of extraordinary landscapes.

Also, there will be no huts during the journey. During these days we will stay at bivouacs by the sea in the moonlight, with the opportunity to enjoy unforgettable baths in crystal clear waters. We can sleep outside in a tent or in the open to admire the stars in the sky.

The food supplies and the bivouac materials are delivered by sea, in order to save weight and keep the backpack light during the stages. A special feature of this trek is a rope descent on one stage -easy and fully managed by the guide- making this stage particularly exciting! The Selvaggio Blu is definitely a must-do experience for adventurous spirits.

If you want to join me on this unique and challenging trek, just send me a request! I will take you an an unforgettable experience.

I have been working as a mountain guide for more than ten years, and I still love my job very much! The great mountains of the Alps are my favorite playground: Mont Blanc, Matterhorn, Monte Rosa and Gran Paradiso are my favorite destinations.

Great summer ascents and magnificent ski mountaineering tours in winter and spring.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
