    Meeting point

Arrive in Kiruna (Giron) in the afternoon, then we’ll drive ~1 hour west to Nikkaluokta (Nihkkáluokta) for a bite and to gear up.

    Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & transfer to Kebnekaise

Arrive in Kiruna (Giron) in the afternoon and travel one hour west to Nikkaluokta (Nihkkáluokta). After a quick meal and final gear checks, we’ll continue by snowmobile to Kebnekaise Mountain Station. Settle in and prepare for the days ahead.

Note: This itinerary shows what we plan to do—not a fixed schedule. In true hut-to-hut spirit, each day will be shaped by weather, snow and the group’s pace. Your guides will adapt the route daily to make the most of Arctic conditions, so expect flexibility and a memorable, ever-changing mountain experience.

Day 2: First turns in Tarfala

We leave Kebnekaise Mountain Station and head into the remote Tarfala Valley (Darfalvággi). If conditions allow, we’ll cross the Kebnetjåkka plateau into high-alpine terrain. A first descent via Södra Nischen leads onto Storglaciären, followed by a final climb and ski down from Isfallsglaciären to our Tarfala cabin.

Day 3: Glaciers and high alpine terrain

From our base in Tarfala, we’ll tour classic glaciated routes. Ascend Kebnepakteglaciären between crevasses and steep walls, then reach Halspasset via Isfallsglaciären for a short, steep descent overlooking the valley’s glaciers. The day ends with a well-earned sauna back at the cabin.

Day 4: A classic couloir descent

Our objective is Kaskasatjåkka (2,076 m), Sweden’s fourth-highest peak. We’ll approach via the southeast glacier and gain the ridge with expansive views of Tarfala Valley. The reward is a descent of Liljetoppsrännan—a sustained, steep couloir regarded as one of Sweden’s finest ski lines.

Day 5: Exploring Tarfala’s side valleys

With experience and rhythm established, we’ll chase the best snow in the surrounding valleys. Options range from short, powder-filled laps near the cabin to longer tours around Kaskasapakte. Route choices will balance conditions, energy levels, and recovery for the days ahead.

Day 6: Summit Kebnekaise & Jökelbäcken

Today’s goal is Kebnekaise (2,097 m), Sweden’s highest summit. Depending on conditions, we’ll ascend via Östra Leden’s fixed ropes or through Halspasset. From the summit, we’ll ski Jökelbäcken—a legendary 1,000 m glacial run back into the valley.

Day 7: Final descent from Kebnekaise

Our last ski day begins directly from Kebnekaise Mountain Station. Weather permitting, we’ll aim for Tuolpagorni (Duolbagorni), a dramatic crater-shaped peak with a narrow, powder-filled descent accessed by a short rappel. We’ll return to the station in the afternoon for hot showers, a sauna, and a farewell dinner.

    Day 8: Return to Kiruna

After breakfast, snowmobiles take us back to Nikkaluokta. From there, we’ll transfer you to Kiruna Airport or Kiruna Central Station for evening departures.

Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger. Guillaume chose another amazing location (Pic de Bretagne) based on my climbing abilities and preferences and kindly offered train station pick-up and hotel drop off, which I appreciated very much. The multi-pitch route we did was not only fun but also the right amount of challenge, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The communication from the team (Gauthier) was prompt and clear—highly recommend!

    Maxine

Luis Silva was a great climbing guide and belayer! He taught me how to do moves that were difficult and encouraged me to try routes that were challenging for me! Because of his encouragement, I managed to complete these routes! I really enjoyed the climbs and completed 8 routes in the Sesimbra/Azoia area. The weather was perfect, no direct sun and cool enough to enjoy the climbs. Explore-Share made booking an outdoor climbing experience in Lisbon extremely easy. Luis, our guide, was fantastic, and the platform’s organization was flawless.

We had Léo as a guide for our day climb in Fonty. We were blessed with a knowledgeable, warm, and instructive guide. Communication with Léo and Ivan was smooth and swift. Explore-Share was excellent in arranging everything for our day climb. The communication was quick, and the platform was easy to use, making our adventure stress-free.

Patrick was a great guide. He took us on an intermediate Via Ferrata at Passo Sella. Renato was quick to respond with any outreach on the Explore-Share platform. The booking process was straightforward, and once Patrick was confirmed, all went well. It was a wonderful experience, and I’d highly recommend the platform.
