Description

I invite you to discover the untouched slopes of the Suusamyr Valley, in Kyrgyzstan, on this 8-day guided heliski tour. Come and enjoy the best snow quality, incredible winter powder with depth up to 2,5 metres!

The Suusamyr Valley is located 130 kilometres away from Bishkek, the capital city of this country in Central Asia. It's situated between the Kyrgyz Ala-Too and the Suusamyr-Too ranges of the Tian Shan mountains. The valley lies at an altitude of 2200-2600 m, with surrounding peaks that reach 4500 m.

This is certainly a unique are for a heliskiing adventure, for its great variety of slopes, with diverse exposition and extent. Also, it offers stable and windless weather and a stable snow cover during the season. Moreover, the Asian hospitality and cuisine, together with breathtaking landscapes make it an incredible destination for a great heliskiing trip.

Besides, we don't need much time approach the riding zones. From one landing place, we have the possibility of enjoying a great number of descents.

We will stay at the Too-Ashoo ski resort (2900 m), in comfy lodges. Besides, we have the possibility of practising paragliding and using a SnowCat (snowgroomer with a cabin for passengers) and a SkiDoo.

Want to join me and discover the untouched slopes of the Suusamyr Valley? Just send me a request and we will start planning this amazing adventure in Central Asia.

I also offer another great heliski trip in the Karakol base, in the Terskey Ala Too mountains.

About the guide

Based in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, I’m an IFMGA-certified guide and the technical director of the Kyrgyz Mountain Guide Association (KMGA). I'm also a certified mountain guide and mountaineering instructor, and a “Snow Leopard” — having summited all five peaks over 7000m in the former Soviet Union. I’ve received extensive training in Switzerland and I’m a certified rescuer (carrying out rescues up to 6800m).

Ski touring and mountaineering are my two biggest passions and I love sharing these activities with my clients. I specialize in high altitude and technical ascents, heliskiing, backcountry camps and avalanche courses.

I’ve stood on the summit of a 7-thousander more than 20 times — including Lenin, Korjenevskaya, Communism (Somoni), Pobeda and Mustagh-Ata, among others. I’ve also participated in ski mountaineering expeditions to Lenin Peak and Mustagh-Ata and several 4-thousanders around the world.

I’ve also been organizing my own avalanche courses since 2009 and was in charge of translating materials on the Russian risk reduction method Nivocheck. I speak English and Russian.

The mountain guide was very professional, knowledgeable, realiable, patient, and knows speaks good english. First guide Anastasia couldn’t make it so she reffered me to another one, but she arranged everything with the second guide, including the rent of some needed equipments I didn’t have. They took care of everything. Pavel the second guide taught me a lot even I’m just a beginner, he was very patient in partaking his knowlegde and and went above and beyond in teaching me iceclimbing. He also made sure that I was very safe and had an amazing experience. Pavel, you’re a great mountain guide, I hope all guides are like you I encountered in the future. Very professional and patient. Also,Thank you for the help and information!. You are a very reliable person.
