Description

On this full day excursion, you will get the chance to hike to the wonderful Teryho Chata (2,015m) in the High Tatras of Slovakia. This hut, known as the Terry Cottage in English, is a great place to stop, rest, and relax, while gazing at the gorgeous peaks of the Tatras. It also signifies a great goal for the hike because if not for the hut, you may just continue trekking well into the night!

The Teryho hut is open all year round. As a result, this trip is offered all year round as well. Thus giving you the chance to see the beautiful Tatras area in several different ways. For example, if you enjoy seeing the trees and valleys blanketed with snow, then join me on this trip during the winter season. If you prefer to hike in the heat, and cool off in the rivers and lakes of the area, then join me during the summer. And finally, if you prefer to see the changing of nature, from the colours of the leaves to the blooming of flowers, then join me in the autumn or spring. However, regardless of which season you choose, I can assure you that you will enjoy a fantastic hiking experience.

This hike will take approximately 5-6 hours. Hence giving you plenty of time to enjoy the surroundings. And when we reach the Teryho hut, because of its elevated position, you will get to see an enormous portion of the beautiful High Tatras.

So send me a request, and let me guide you on this great trek. The Teryho hut and the stunning Tatras await!

Are you looking to enjoy another Slovakian hiking adventure? Then join me on this full day trek through the mountain lakes of the Tatras, including Biele, Trojrohe and Zelene Pleso.

Had a great trip. Peter is an excellent guide and hiking companion. He knows the area very well and made sure it was a memorable day! Highly recommend this trip if you want an adventurous day!

This adventure with Peter was exactly what we wanted. We had no experience hiking in the snow (only summer hiking) so it was great to have guidance (and crampons) when we needed it. Peter told us stories about the area/mountains and was a fantastic photographer! We highly recommend.
