Description

Exciting and challenging, the Tooth is a fantastic monolith, full of exciting multi-pitch routes you can climb.

On this full day trip, I would like to guide you to the top of the Tooth.  Located on the Snoqualmie pass in the state of Washington, the climb, while the highlight, is but one part of this day long adventure. At the beginning of the trip, from the Source Lake Overlook trailhead, we will hike for approximately an hour through the gorgeous Snoqualmie back country until we will reach the Tooth.

Once we reach the Tooth, we will have a pre-climb discussion that will involve important topics such as belay station management, strategies and techniques as well as fall prevention. After the discussion, we will begin a practice session on the rocks, which will cover a variety of skills, including the following.

  • Understanding climbing gear

  • Draws

  • Climbing knots

  • Techniques to climb rock faces and cracks

  • Multi-pitch preparation and climbing

  • Cragging area ethics and safety concerns

  • Rope selection, organization and management

  • Hanging belays

  • Belaying from anchor

  • Safe retreat and descent

  • Efficient racking and gear exchange

After the practice session, we will have lunch and then commence the multi-pitch ascent of the incredible Tooth. From the top, you will get to enjoy some spectacular views of the far reaching landscape.

Climbing the Tooth is an unforgettable experience. And I would like to help you enjoy it, while also teaching you several skills necessary to not only enjoy your ascent of the Tooth, but future ascents as well. So send me a request, and let the adventure begin!

I can also lead you on a 2 day rock climbing adventure to the summit of the spectacular Forbidden peak as well.

Chloe

I had an amazing time climbing the tooth and the guides Jasmine and Sandeep were great! I really appreciated their flexibility and allowing me to choose a different route up the tooth. Amazing hike in. I’m glad we were able to beat the heat and the crowds.
