We take care of all the arrangements and present you with a thorough and detailed itinerary, so that all you need to do is enjoy yourself while you’re here!

Each day, you will head out of the lovely hotel and explore a different part of this marvelous and scenic part of the country.

Enjoy long walks by the beach, explore various quaint little towns farther in land and head through the rolling hills as you amble your way through the Algarve.

Along the way, you will have the opportunity to explore local towns that have been largely unchanged by the tourism industry, photograph one of Portugal’s most scenic beaches and have a swim in the lovely waters of the Atlantic.

Each night you will return to the hotel where you can enjoy all the necessary modern conveniences. Sit on its rooftop bar and sample various local dishes paired with outstanding regional wines while looking out over the Atlantic Ocean.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

Arrive at the airport in Faro and transfer to Portimao.

Day 2: Rocha Delicada

Head out on an 8-kilometer walk through the varied landscaped of the Alvor estuary, passing salt marshes, pastures and orchards on the way. Finish the walk in Mexilhoeira Grande before taking the train back.

Day 3: Estômbar

Make this 10-kilometer hike from the traditional Algarve village of Estômbar through peaceful river valleys to the ancient capital of Silves. Explore the historic town before heading back to Portimao.

Day 4: Ferragundo

Make the 10-kilometer hike along the scenic coastline until you reach Ferragundo. Explore the lighthouse and village before returning. Finish the walk in Mexilhoeira Grande and explore what you haven’t already seen here.

Day 5: Figueira

Spend the day making a 12-kilometer hike through the rolling hills just in land of Portimao.

Day 6: Alvor – Rocha

Make the fantastic 9-kilometer coastal walk from Portimao to the stunningly beautiful beach at Praia da Rocha.

Day 7: Vale de Lama

Head out for a 10-kilometer hike back through the rolling countryside around the Alvor estuary and down toward Lagos beach. Have a swim or sun bathe before heading back to Portimao.

Day 8: Departure

Transfer back to the airport.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
