Description

The Burnie Glacier Chalet is located in the mountains of northern British Columbia, Canada. It is an amazing unexplored area where you can find beautiful peaks, big tree lines and wildlife. In winter, the landscape turns into white and becomes the perfect place for a backcountry skiing adventure. I invite you to enjoy this one week experience with me.

Getting to the Burnie Glacier Chalet is quite easy. If you leave Vancouver and fly to the area in the morning, you will be skiing in the afternoon.

If you decide to take this tour, we’ll spend the nights in a warm home in the middle of the mountains. The refuge provides accommodation for 11 guests. It includes 2 double rooms, one with three beds and the other one with four. Also, you can enjoy the sauna and the kitchen facilities, very comfortable beds and wireless internet.

During the day, I’ll take you will to ski across big slopes and untouched fields while enjoying the most beautiful landscape full of snow-covered peaks. During the afternoon, you will relax in the sauna and then have dinner at a lovely and warm table in the hut.

Remember that I can pick you up from the airport and then drive you to the starting point if you need it. The helicopter drop to the lodge is also included in the price.

Take into account that this tour requires a medium technical level and some previous experience.

Now, most of my work is at the Burnie Glacier Chalet, which a group of friends and I built deep in the northern Coast Mountains of British Columbia.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice.
