For **approximately 3 hours**, you will get to scale amazing walls that rise as high as **35 meters**. And when you reach the top of the chosen wall, you will get to gaze at the beautiful town of **Suesca**, and all of its lovely natural landscape and enticing architecture.

Not exceeding difficult, this climbing trip is moderately graded. In fact, **children as young as 9 years old can participate**. Located **less than 60 kilometers from the amazing city of Bogota**, **Suesca** is a great place to visit if you want to escape the big city. Multi-Sport Day in Suesca: Caving, Rock Climbing and Rappelling

**This is Nevado del Tolima, a monumental stratovolcano in the Los Nevados National Natural Park in the Andes of Colombia. This is your opportunity to ascend this giant and look over the world!**

Although not extinct, Tolima’s last eruption was 3,600 years ago and the most recent volcanic activity recorded here was in 1943.

**The views from its 5,200m peak are outstanding, 360 degree panoramic vistas over the Colombian Andes, including other volcanoes, glaciers, forests and more!**

Our trip will see us ascend the mountain via the ‘Totaré’ glacier which is a technically difficult route that requires you have both glacier and mountaineering skill and experience.

We will meet in the settlement of Juntas, about 50km southeast of the large city, Pereira. We will use this day to cement the details of our plans for the summit. We will also explore this beautiful countryside.

On the second day we will undertake a long hike and reach the altitude of 3,700m. The third day we will visit the volcanoes thermal baths and hike a long distance.

Our fourth day will be a rest day, to recuperate and re-energise for the summit hike the next day.

The fifth day will see us set off at 2am towards the summit. When we reach the Totaré glacier we will put the proper equipment to use and ensure a safe ascension.

Once atop the summit you will have time to really absorb what an amazing and breathtaking view it is and what an acheivement you have made.

The last day we will return to Juntas in one trek and then enjoy a special meal in a local restaurant to cap off a wonderful expedition.

We will start the 17-kilometer trek to Termales del Cañón, visit the Laguna Bombona and spend the night in tents (breakfast, snacks and dinner included). Luggage transferred in horses.

We set off this morning from Termales de Cañón towards the summit.

We will use our technical equipment once we reach the Totare glacier.

This day, along with the descent from the summit, will involve about 14 hours on the move (breakfast, snacks and dinner included).

**Welcome to Nevado del Tolima, a spectacular stratovolcano in the Los Nevados National Natural Park in the Andes of Colombia. Here’s your chance to summit this amazing geological treasure!**

Tolima’s most recent volcanic activity was in 1943 but the last major eruption was back 3,600 years ago. From atop its peak at 5,220m there are panoramic views of epic proportions!

**Our trip will see us ascend via the Cocora valley and ‘Shimmer’ glacier which is an easier option than others and doesn’t require great technical skill or experience.**

We will begin the trip in Salento, about 25km southeast of the large city of Pereira, this town has a rich and interesting history. We will also use this day to finalise all our plans for the upcoming trek and summit.

The next morning we set off at 06:30 and head to the valley of Cócora where the horses that will transport our possessions to the camp are waiting. Then we will hike to our camp site at 3,600m, this route provides absolutley breathtaking views over the forested landscape.

On day 2 we head towards our mountain Camp on Nevado del Tolina. Again the views will leave you speachless and we will arrive after about 6 hours, to then prepare for the summit the next day.

**The next morning at 2am we begin our summit hike, we will advance up the slopes until we reach ‘Shimmer’ glacier. Here we will get out all the neccessary equipment to continue. The summit is truly remarkable and we will spend some good time here taking in the beauty!**

The whole days trekking, including the descent back to the camp, will take about 12 hours in total. Then our last day will see us return to Cócora in one journey and end the trip with a meal in a special local restaurant.

We will meet in the town of Salento and travel to Cocora Valley, from where we will trek for 21km to Finca La Playa (3850m), where we will spend the night.

###### **Welcome to the spectacular** Los Nevados National Natural Park**, situated in the central cordillera of the** Colombian Andes**. This amazing mountain region will take your breath away with every step!**

Located about 3**0 km southeast** of the city of **Pereira**, the park is dominated by the **momunmental volcano** **Nevado del Ruiz** at **5,300m**. It also offers quite a remarkable range of **diversity** in its terrain, biology and views.

On day three we will climb further until **Cañon** at **3,950 m**. Here we can rest and enjoy the amazing **thermals of the volcano**.

And to end adventure, on our last day **we’ll descend for about 8 hours**. Upon completion, an **exquisite final meal,** in a special local restaurant, will be waiting for us.

The day will start early, at 06:30. Then we’ll ride a jeep until the valley of Cócora where we’ll meet our horses. Thereon we’ll hike for about 8 hours until La Playa (the beach) at 3,600m where we will spend the night at our campsite.

This route will give a real appreciation of the forested beauty of the area.

Our day will begin at 8:30am. We’ll begin trekking towards Cañon at 3,950m.

This 6 hour journey will provide stunning vistas and end with us enjoying its amazing volcanic thermals.
