**Durbuy** is a beautiful tiny city in the **Wallonia** region of **Belgium**. Due to its importance in the Middle Ages, it was named a city but it has the size and architecture of a medieval village.

But it’s not all culture, Durbuy and its surrounding areas are also famous for their nature and geological characteristics. On this hike, we’ll explore **Condroz**, **Famenne** and **Ardennes**. As we walk, we’ll enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Valona’s woods and hills. Then, after a lovely hike in the middle of nature, we’ll end our program tasting a delicious wine in **Durbuy’s Christmas market**.

This hike is not challenging and very relaxing. A passion for walking and exploring natural places is all you need to come.

**Get away from the daily routine and imagine one of nature’s most beautiful unspoiled areas with vast forests, charming hills and fast flowing rivers. Join me on this 2-day weekend hiking tour in La Roche-en-Ardenne!**

**I will guide you through the amazing Escapardenne Eisleck trail** all the way from Kautenbach, in northern Luxembourg, to the beautiful Ardennes in the south-east of Belgium**. With 104 km of beautiful wilderness, this path is ideal to enjoy** small picturesque trails, beautiful valleys and quiet plateaus.

My proposal is to explore the two stages between Houffalize, in Luxembourg, and La Roche en Ardenne, in Belgium. We’ll follow the river Ourthe down the Belgian region of Ardennes and walk a total distance of 39 km. Therefore,  participants on this trip should be in **good physical condition and have previous mountaineering experience.**  

One of this trip’s highlights will be an unforgettable overnight at a campsite located in the **Nadrin Village.** Sleeping under the stars and surrounded by the peaceful atmosphere of the **Escapardenne Eisleck trail** will allow **us to disconnect from the modern world. F**urthermore, it’s also possible to stay an extra day and sleep on Sunday night at the campsite too. Please ask me if you would like more information.

Because this trek takes place during the **autumn season**, you will get to see an array of stunning colors in the forest. And when you gaze at the rolling hills, it will be a sight of motion capture, as they will look like multicolored waves frozen in time. It is a sight to behold. Another great advantage of taking this hike during the autumn season is that is you will have the best chance to see the region’s beautiful **deer**. This is the time when they come out and mate. As a result, you will see and hear these wonderful animals at their most active. And to ensure you will get great views of them, we will have the aid of a **bivouac** located deep in the woods. Thus keeping our small group hidden enough to see the splendor of the **Ardennes** and its wildlife, without disturbing it.

##### On this 3 day hiking adventure, I would like to take you on a trek through Mullerthal. This wonderful area is located in the small country of Luxembourg, and is full of beautiful natural highlights that are well worth gazing upon.

Filled with hardwood forest and wonderful rock formations, trekking through **Mullerthal** is like venturing into a story. The smells and sounds of the woods are unforgettable, and with no city noise to be found, you will feel at times like you’ve entered an entirely different world, or perhaps an entirely different time.

This trip is available during the spring and summer. During those seasons you will see **Mullerthal** express itself in all its glory. You will see its vibrant colors and freshness. This trip is also available during the autumn as well. Thus giving you the chance to also see the area as the once vibrant colors change and ultimately dim as they await the winter.

With this trip lasting three days, you will get to spend **2 nights in a comfortable hotel** in the lovely village of **Berdorf**. This great place is well worth exploring on its own, which you will get to do in the evenings. It is also **only 6 kilometers away from the oldest town in Luxembourg**, **Echternach**, which is also worth a visit.

**La Semois** is one of the most beautiful rivers of **Wallonia** and you’ll get the chance to see part of it during this hiking day with me. We’ll also pass in the area of beautiful villages like **Bouillon**, **Chiny**, **Herbeumont** and **Rochehaut**.

We’ll start our hike from the Village of **Herbeumont**, a beautiful historical town with a medieval castle. From the top, we’ll enjoy a breathtaking view on the region and **La Semois** flowing down in the valley.

During our day, aside for the Castle, we’ll be visiting le **Tombeau du Géant**, another stunning view point and **La Vallée de l’Antrogne**.

This hiking day is not technical but you must be fit as we will be trekking for for 6-7 hours and go up and down the valley. We’ll be mainly walking in the forest.

Join me alone, together with your friends and/or your family and discover one of the most beautiful part of les Ardennes in the Luxembourg Province of Belgium. It will be my great pleasure to share with you my secret spots and let you discover all you need to know before driving back home.
