Description

Touching the nations of Luxembourg, France and Belgium, the Ardennes region is a gorgeous place. Filled with lovely hills and seemingly endless forests, the area is a dream for anybody who wants to explore nature at its most lush and placid.

On this wonderful weekend hike, I will take you deep into the Ardennes region of Belgium. We will meet and depart from l’Eglise of Houffalize at 9:15 am.

Because this trek takes place during the autumn season, you will get to see an array of stunning colors in the forest. And when you gaze at the rolling hills, it will be a sight of motion capture, as they will look like multicolored waves frozen in time. It is a sight to behold. Another great advantage of taking this hike during the autumn season is that is you will have the best chance to see the region’s beautiful deer. This is the time when they come out and mate. As a result, you will see and hear these wonderful animals at their most active. And to ensure you will get great views of them, we will have the aid of a bivouac located deep in the woods. Thus keeping our small group hidden enough to see the splendor of the Ardennes and its wildlife, without disturbing it.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice.
