Just an 1.5 drive northwest of Denver, Rocky Mountain National Park is the perfect place for an avalanche and snow safety course.
There is plenty of fun to be had exploring the park either on your skis, splitboard or snowshoes and a lot for us to learn about backcountry safety skills too.
Over the course of our day together, we will learn how to use avalanche safety equipment, which is a highly useful skill for anybody who wants to head out solo or on guided trips farther into the backcountry.
We will also go over how to build snow shelters, which is another highly useful skill to know in the backcountry. By the end of the day, you will be better prepared for future ski touring, snowshoeing or splitboarding exploits.
However, we won’t solely focus on these skills. We’ll also have plenty of time to explore the park, which is home to some of the most stunning scenery in all of the Front Range, as we head from one point to the next.
So what are you waiting for? Book now for this fun and informative 1-day avalanche and snow travel safety course in Rocky Mountain National Park!
