Situated on the western slopes of the mighty Colorado Rocky Mountains, the San Juans are a compact and steep subrange known for light powder and well-spaced trees.

In other words, the perfect spot for a thrilling and scenic day of backcountry skiing!

After meeting up in the lovely mountain town of Telluride, we'll head out straight onto the slopes and spend the day exploring mellow meadows, big faces and hidden couloirs.

The snowpack in this part of Colorado can be a bit tricky, but our local and knowledgable guides have spent years exploring this part of the state and will be able to find the best spots, so that we can make the most out of our day together.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland.
