1-day Backcountry skiing traverse from Donner Summit to Squaw Valley

This ski tour is a must for all California backcountry skiers! We will follow the epic Sierra Crest, skiing from Sugar Bowl Ski Resort to Valley Ski Resort.

On this tour, we will ski along the amazing Sierra Crest. We will ride from Donner Summit to Squaw Valley. Along the way, we will ride on some of the most incredible ski terrain in all of Lake Tahoe! We will alternate between following the mountain top and classic skiing off the descents of the crest.

Normally, this area takes 2 days to ski. We are offering this tour for experienced skiiers who want to cut down a two day tour by one day. We will see some breathtaking views.

We will be able to see the many nearby lakes and the serene, far-reaching areas of the Granite Chief outback. We will also do the Truckee Skyline Traverse. This is the ideal traverse for any skier and must be done while you are visiting this area!

This tour can range from 7 to 10 hours in duration. We recommend that all skiers be in great physical shape. It is important that you can hike for many hours in a row.
