Explore the iconic Temple Crag, a landmark of the Eastern Sierras, during this guided climbing trip, where you will have that the opportunity to explore some of the best alpine climbing routes in California!
Temple Crag is a formation that needs no introduction. Situated at an altitude of 12,999 feet in the Palisades Range, site of the southernmost glaciers in the US, Temple Crag is notable not only for the quality of its climbing, but also the beauty of its approach. To reach the Crag, climbers complete a gentle trek past three crystal clear, emerald green, glacial lakes. The incredible landscapes of the Inyo National Forest give participants a chance to appreciate the scale and beauty of the mountains before the climbing even begins.
Temple Crag is filled with classic routes that will keep intermediate or advanced level climbers satisfied. Its most well known routes include: Venusian Blind (5.7; Grade IV; 13 pitches in total), Moon Goddess Aret (5.8; Grade IV; 18 pitches in total), Sun Ribbon Aret (5.10a; Grade IV; 22 pitches in total), and, of course, Dark Star (5.10c; Grade V; 16 pitches in total). As a guide with local knowledge of all the best spots, I will select the routes we tackle based on your skills, abilities, and past experience.
Book now and we will have a great time climbing in one of the most scenic crags in California! This is the perfect opportunity for you to hone your trad climbing skills and test yourself on some incredible routes in a beautiful and iconic spot!

First class operation from beginning to end. Ryan (I believe owner or manager) provided the best customer service from the moment I contacted him as a result of a search on the internet. He set everything up with ease, always staying in touch and making sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend him for climbing at any level.

Ryan, Tim, Scott, and Ben were all very friendly, professional, and super knowledgeable. I know there's an inherent risk in climbing, but I'm confident I can use what I learned from this program and climb much more safely outdoors. I'll be signing up for their other programs!
