This 1-day hike to Gonella Hut in Val Veny is a demanding adventure for those of you in very good shape and wanting to push their efforts!

The Gonella Hut (3071 m) is located above the Val Veny, close to Courmayeur in the Italian side of the Mont Blanc massif. It’s part of the most popular route to climb the Mont Blanc from Italy. And it lies on the Aiguilles Grises ridge in between the Dôme glacier and the Glacier de Bionnassay. So it’s a place full of mountaineering tradition and history.

To get up to this mountain hut and down on the same day you’ll have to be in very good shape. It’ll be a demanding program for which you’ll meet with one of our guides at 6 am in Courmayeur. From there you’ll take a transfer to the starting point on the Miage glacier.

The hike up will be steep and you’ll be following an easy via ferrata. Once on top, you’ll be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery for a little bit and then start the long way down again!
