Description
It gives me great pleasure to introduce to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, this scenic country has to be seen to be believed. Here’s your chance to experience some of the best hut to hut skiing available anywhere!
A truly special trip, you can choose a duration between 2-6 days, you have the choice of where we start our expedition and what regions and routes we take!
I will of course advise on the route and location given my local knowledge and we can create the ideal trip for you. This is your custom trip in one of the most spectacular alpine settings of the world!
The huts of Colorado are famous, neslted deep into the backcountry we can use these lodges as a base to explore the fantastic scenery and terrain surrouding us.
If you only have a couple of days we can stick to one hut and explore its surroundings in depth. If you have longer then we can link several huts and change beautiful location for beautiful location.
We can meet in Boulder, Denver or Estes Park, from where we will take about a 2 hour ride to our trailhead.
Our first day will be longer and more tiring due to carrying in all our gear, so we’ll have a good relax the first night. The next day and all the following days that we have, will be spent exploring the pristine nature and virgin powder snow!
Hut to hut skiing is great because all the equipment is in the huts waiting, you just need to bring your clothes, snacks and a sleeping bag!
It will be my pleasure to speak about the history of the region and the wildlife (Flora and Fauna), of which there is a wonderful variety.

More info You can rent the following equipment: AT ski touring skis or Tele skis, skins, and boots from Crystals Ski Shop for $50 per day. On a side note: they also rent beacon, probe, shovel for $30 per day. The whole package for all gear (ski and safety) is $65 per day for future reference. PH: 303-449-7669. |
