Val Ferret has one of the most amazing views of the Alps, join one of our guides in this 3-day hike to enjoy the most out of it!
This program is designed to hike along a ridge that we like to call the Grandes Jorasses Balcony because it goes through an alpine meadow and grazing land, that allows you to enjoy the spectacular view of the Mont Blanc and Grandes Jorasses summits.
We’ve designed this trip to follow your wishes and physical strength so there will be some options along the way. For example on the first day you’ll meet with one of our guides in Courmayeur and hike to the beautiful Bertone hut (1991 m). Here you’ll be able to chose if you want to rest and enjoy this spot or if you want to continue hiking to the summit of the Mont de la Saxe in the late afternoon.
The second day you’ll understand why we call this program the Grandes Jorasses Balcony. We’ll follow a trail with a great scenery to a the Bonatti hut (2025 m) where we’ll have lunch and then continue to Elena hut (2061 m) at the end of Val Ferret.
And to finish this fun adventure we’ll ascend to the Col du Grand Ferret (2537 m) on the last day and cross the Col du Petit Ferret to hike down to Arnouva and take a bus to Courmayeur.
Sounds like an amazing 3-day plan? It is! Send me a request now and we’ll start planning your hike through this amazing spot with this 3-day hike to the Grandes Jorasses Balcony. You’ll spend an unforgettable weekend!
And if you want to try a new and more demanding activity in this area you might also be interested in this our Mont Blanc massif 4-day mountaineering course.

We did a 1 day Ferrata with Marica. We've both never climbed a Ferrata before but we are both good hikers. We enjoyed our trip very much and you don't need to be a climber. Marica took good care of us and she is very informative with the local geography and history. We felt very safe with her. If you are traveling near the Dolomite and want to try something a bit out of your comfort zone, I highly recommend doing a ferrata especially with Marica. We did both ferrata ra gusela nuvolau and ferrata-averau. It took us about 6 hours.
