I am offering this amazing hiking tour in the Ammergau Alps. We will spend three days exploring this magnific area and we will reach the summit of two of its most beautiful peaks.
The Ammergau Alps are a mountain range of the Northern Limestone Alps. They are located in the border between Bavaria (Germany) and Tyrol (Austria) covering an area of about 30 km2. Most of its peaks can be climbed in one day.
Our program starts in the Linderhof Palace, the smallest of three castles built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria. From here we will head up a mountain trail towards Brunnenkopfhäuser, an alpine hut settled at the foot of rugged and imposing peaks, where you can enjoy a wonderful panorama.
The trails of Ammergau Alps are usually well recognizable but still partly steep. On the following days we will reach the summit of Klammspitze (1,924m) and Krahe (2,010m).
You will be rewarded with fantastic views: dolomite and limestone rocks, deep blue lakes, raised bogs and fens, leafy pine forests, and shinny green meadows. You will also find rare plants like gentian and several species of orchids.
So, if you are up for this fascinating mountain experience in the Ammergau Alps, please contact me! I’ll be glad to guide you along the high-altitude trails of this amazing area!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
