Description

Join me for a unforgettable expedition to reach the summit of the Himlung Himal (7,126m) in Nepal.

The Himlung is located in the Peri Himal mountain range. It lies between the colossal Mt. Manaslu and the stunning Annapurna range. So we will get the opportunity to admire up close, some of the most beautiful peaks in this region.

Moreover, the journey we’ll embark on, will take us across remote and intriguing villages in Nepal, right at the border with Tibet. Hence, we’ll pass by through two fascinating Tibetan villages, Nar and Phu. The area we’ll trek across is very remote. Thus, it has not been reached by many tourists. You cannot miss this unique opportunity!

All the villages we’ll visit, guard ancient traditions and are home to some of the most hospitable people you’ll ever encounter. We will have the chance to learn about the local culture and history, and admire the breathtaking architecture.

Then, we’ll start our expedition to reach the top of Himlung Himal. First we’ll reach base camp, which is set at the height of 4,900 meters.  Then, three more high camps will be waiting for us. Camp I is at 5,450 meters, Camp II at 6,000 meters and Camp III stands at 6,350 meters.

Finally, one of the many reasons why this mountain is one of my favorite ones, is because technically it’s not so difficult. This means, people that are not necessarily mountaineering experts can join this trip. Also, it is a perfect way to practice for bigger ascents.

So if you are up for the challenge, don’t hesitate and send me a request! It will a trip you won’t be able to forget.

Looking for another challenge in the area? I also guide this 35-day Mt. Ama Dablam expedition in Nepal.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
