Join IFMGA certified guide Marija on this 4-day mountaineering trip and reach the summit of three of the most beautiful peaks in the Swiss Alps: Jungfrau, Eiger and Mönch. Enjoy a spectacular adventure climbing this breathtaking mountains.
When you think about majestic mountains, pristine air and snow, the Swiss Alps always come to mind. Join me on this 4-day trip and enjoy the view of magnificent mountains, breathe in pure air and climb on rocky and snowy ridges. I will guide you to the summit of three of the most spectacular peaks in the Alps, Jungfrau (4,158 m.), Eiger (3,970 m.) and Mönch (4,107 m.).
Even though the three peaks are very close to each other, each one has its own characteristics. Jungfrau is the tallest of the three. Jungfrau means virgin or maiden in German, which perfectly describes its immaculate form. Following in altitude is the peaks’ guardian, Mönch, which translates to monk. Finally, Eiger, also known as the ogre, will definitely prove to be a challenging ascent.
Many adventures lay ahead of us on this trip. We will start by taking the Jungfraujoch train to the Eismeer station and reach the Fischergletcher through a railway tunnel. The next day we will get to the summit of the Eiger, and upon descent, we will get to admire its glacier.
Day three will be the day where we meet the Mönch, the shortest and easiest climb. However, do not be fooled by its size as it is a complex ascent. The views it offers make it entirely worth climbing. On the last day of the trip, we will get to see the Jungfraufirn glacier, at the foot of Jungfrau and the normal approach to the summit above.
Please note this trip is strenuous and ambitious. You must be in good condition and have previous high-level climbing experiences. This trip is recommended for those who have experience on similar peaks, such as Mont Blanc (4, 810 m.) or Matterhorn (4,478 m.).
If climbing Jungfrau, Eiger and Mönch seems enticing, please send me a request. I will be happy to guide you up to them.

I was born in Kranj, Slovenia. I am a biology teacher and I also have been a professional alpinist for more than 30 years. Until now, I’ve reached 4 eight-thousanders around the world: Broad Peak, Cho Oyu, Dhaulagiri and Mount Everest.
In fact, I am the first (and still only) Slovenian female reaching ‘the roof of the world’. Together with my husband Andrej, we entered the Guinness Book of World Records as the first married couple to stand on Mt Everest.
Beyond the Himalayas, I climbed in Alaska, South America and Japan, among other places.
Sport climbing as well as competition and rock climbing have a very important place in my life and have taken me to many incredible and challenging places around the world.
super, super, super !
