Highlights

  • Witness a spectacular sunrise over Japan from the 3,776-meter summit.
  • Trek from the 5th Station to the summit on our expertly paced 2-day itinerary.
  • Rest overnight in a traditional mountain hut before the final summit push.

Description

Mt. Fuji is Japan’s emblematic peak — a sacred volcano whose clear summer skies and summit sunrise reward everyone who makes the climb.

This guided two-day itinerary is designed to get you from the 5th Station to the summit in time for sunrise, and back down the same day with an overnight in a mountain hut to rest before the final push. We meet at Fujisan (Mt. Fuji) Station — station code FJ-16 on the Fujikyu Line — around 11:00, transfer to the 5th Station and begin the afternoon ascent, spend the night at a hut near the upper trail, start the summit push around midnight, watch the dawn from the crater rim, and descend afterward.

We handle all the logistics—timing, hut reservations, and safety—so you can fully immerse yourself in the climb and the stunning views. The total trek covers about 14 km, with 1,500 meters of ascent and descent.

What people are saying about Toru

Kirsten

Toru san took us on the most memorable trek up Fuji san. My husband wanted to climb Fuji on his 40th birthday and Toru made it extra special, he even made a cake for him when we reached the summit! Most importantly we felt safe and prepared. It was technically off season so we wanted to have a guide so we felt comfortable, he told us exactly what to prepare for and what to bring. It was challenging, but unforgettable.

William

He shows you a lot, is attentive and encouraging. I would recommend Toru to anyone
