Punta Giordani (4046m) is one of the most accesible 4000-meter peaks to climb in the Monte Rosa massif. This 1-day climb takes you to the summit, on an ideal first experience at altitude in the mountains for beginners.
Punta Giordani is part of the Pennine Alps. It lies along a watershed that passes through Piramide Vincent, separating the Lys valley in Aosta from the upper Valsesia in the Piedmont side. The normal route to Punta Giordani is a short ascent, a perfect opportunity to test and put into practice your mountaineering skills.
We will meet in Gressoney for equipment check and a short briefing. Then we will take the lifts to Punta Indren. Just passing the station we will put the crampons on andtie ourselves to a rope to continue along the Indren glacier.
Following some more or less steep stretches we will reach the tip where you face the last meters on rock up to the Madonnina statue. We will then descend along the same route. The round tour will take us between 4 to 5 hours, with an altitude difference of 770 meters.
So what are you waiting for? Book your trip and join me for a great mountaineering experience for beginners in Monte Rosa.
If you already have some previous mountaineering experience, you can join me on this 2-day Punta Gnifetti ascent.

My name is Piergiorgio. I was born in the warm south of Italy and grew up in Florence where I first started climbing.
At the age of 21 I graduated with a degree in Forestry and Environmental Sciences, yet rock climbing had energized my life in such a positive way that I realized that I had to live fully in the vertical world.
It was then that radically transformed my life to pursue my dream of becoming a Mountain Guide and so I moved to Torino to gain the experience and skills required to pass the rigors of my trade.
I'm an IFMGA Mountain Guide.
Join me! I can’t wait to share my greatest passion with enthusiasm and awareness in my favorite environments. After gaining experience and increasing my ability in each discipline, I participated in the IFMGA Aspirant Mountain Guides course and graduated in 2017. Nowadays, my greatest passion is to share with enthusiasm and awareness the most incredible environment: our Alps.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
