Description

The Annapurna massif is undoubtedly one of the best trekking destinations in the world! Join us to get to the base camp of this majestic range in Nepal.

Located in north-central Nepal, Annapurna is the tenth highest mountain in the world. And, a trip to its base camp is unmissable.

The trek is a perfect mix of adventure and learning. It not only offers exceptional views of the Himalayas but also serves as a window to the traditions and lifestyle of the natives.

We’ll begin and end our journey in the capital city of Kathmandu. After spending a day seeing the famous UNESCO sites here like the Boudhanath  Stupa and the Pashupatinath Temple, we’ll board a 30-minute flight to Pokhara. From Pokhara, we’ll drive to Phedi to get to the starting point of the trek.

The following days will take us through the beautiful mountain villages of Tamang and Thakali until we get to Gurung. On most days, you’ll be walking through dense pine and rhododendron forest while gorging on the stunning views of towering peaks.

The trip also includes a trek to Ghorepani and Tadapani. Here, you will see one of the most stunning sunrises you are ever likely to see!

We’ll get to the Annapurna Base Camp by the tenth day and it will be a truly exceptional experience! The camp offers spectacular vistas of many Himalayan peaks like Hiunchuli, Annapurna I and Gangapurna mountains.

After relishing our time here, we’ll descend via Bamboo to reach Pokhara and finally return to Kathmandu to end this incredible trip.

Regarding difficulty, keep in mind that this is a medium level trek which does not require any special training. So, as long as you have a fit body and a fair amount of enthusiasm, you should be just fine!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
