Climbing Aiguilles Marbrées in one day

Climbing Aiguilles Marbrées in one day | undefined

Come climb Aiguilles Marbrées with one of the IFMGA-certified guides in the Peakshunter team! This one day ascent from Courmayeur will take you through the most fantastic landscapes.

Alps

1 Day

Jun - Oct

Description

The Aiguilles Marbrées are a tight group of rocky peaks on the border between France and Italy. They are located between the Colle del Gigante and the Col de Rochefort.

A ridge of snow and rocks joins the north and south tips. The northern tip is suitable for beginner or intermediate climbers. It offers spectacular views of the Glacier du Geant and also the Chamonix Needles!

You can do this ascent in one day, in 4 to 5 hours. However, take into account that you need a very good fitness level because some sections of the ascents can be quite challenging!

We'll meet at 8 am at the base of the Skyway cable car in Courmayeur. From Pointe Helbronner, we put our crampons on and head out in the direction of Giant's Tooth and then Col de Rochefort. Then, from there, we'll take on the last section of the climb to reach the Aiguilles Marbrées summit. On the way down, we'll stop at the Torino hut for a rest and a drink.

If this ascent to the Aiguilles Marbrées sounds interesting, contact me now and we'll start organizing your trip. I promise an unforgettable experience!

Alternatively, I offer other one-day ascents in this area. So make sure you check out my Tour Ronde climbing traverse!

Overall it was a great experience and the ratings are in no way a reflection of anything less than a great experience. However, things that could be improved is to cater for first timers, who like me perhaps needed more advice early on before booking or when needing to know what to pack. The guide was great, knowledgeable and most importantly prioritized safety above all else. However. A bit more empathy for how unfit I was would have been nice. Overall would use both Peak Hunter and Explore Share again.
