The Gunks -also known as Shawangunk Ridge- offer a lot of high quality routes for all skill levels. In this full-day tour you will climb on one of its most popular areas, SkyTop, under expert guidance.

The Shawangunk Mountains are one of the most popular rock climbing areas in the United States. Located in the state of New York, this ridge is part of the Appalachian Mountains and is the northern end of a longer ridge that begins in Virginia.

In this full-day trip we will have an amazing rock climbing experience on SkyTop, a major cliff of the Gunks which offers more than 300 routes ranging from 50 to 150 feet.

This rock is mainly a silica-cemented conglomerate of white quartz and sandstone. It offers climbing routes for beginners, intermediate and advanced climbers. We will find the perfect itinerary for you to have a fun and challenging climbing outing.

Two of the stellar climbs on SkyTop are Foops (5.11) and Super Crack (5.12+).

The Gunks are also known for their biodiversity, with oak, pine, and hemlock forests, lakes, streams and marshes. Upon these rocks you will enjoy staggering views.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome.
