    Itinerary

    Day 1: Arrival & Introduction

    • Meet-up and pick-up at your hotel or airport in either Asahikawa or Sapporo * New Chitose Airport 10:00am * or Sapporo Station 10:00am

    • Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a gentle walk or a scenic stop to ease into the surroundings

    Day 2: Exploring Daisetsuzan National Park

    • Ride a ropeway up to an alpine trailhead (such as the Asahidake area) • Trek through dramatic volcanic landscapes and vibrant alpine flower meadows • Optional visit to a relaxing natural hot spring

    Day 3: Lakeside or Volcano Hike

    • Discover a tranquil mountain lake (e.g., Lake Shikaribetsu) or explore an active volcanic zone • Enjoy a moderate hike along ridgelines or the edge of a volcanic crater • Opportunities to spot local wildlife along the way

    Day 4: Rural Landscapes & Cultural Encounters

    • Take a scenic walk through picturesque farmlands or rolling hills (possible areas include Biei, Furano, or Shiretoko) • Visit local artisans and producers—such as wineries, dairy farms, or craft makers • Overnight stay in a cozy, traditional countryside guesthouse

    Yuki Nagaya replaced Takao and did a perfect job. Daisetsuzan is very nice, scenery is tremendous and the trail is challenging. Onsen was available in all mountain huts. Apart from bring a great guide; Yuki prepares delicious food.

    Yuki San is a very good guide. Even with white out he is totally capable to guide us safe back to the ropeway. He also got us really close to the smoke from the volcano. He knows the mountain like his pocket!
