Hone your ski touring skills in the mouthwatering backcountry of Stowe on a half-day of unforgettable skiing! Set in the incomparable wilderness of Vermont in the northeast United States, you will take on tree-lined runs and evocative scenery while picking up techniques that will prepare you for ambitious objectives around the world!

Tucked away in the secluded Green Mountain Range of the Appalachians, Stowe has gained a following as one of the premiere places for top tier skiing in the eastern United States. It sits in the heart of the snow belt, meaning it is synonymous with generous snowpack and a long, prosperous ski season – sometimes lasting well into April.

Your program is designed to give you the full Stowe experience, leading you into the immense backcountry of well-known ski destination. Incredible glade runs and tree lines will accompany you as you make your way uphill and down through the backcountry. You will become a professional in ski touring maneuvers over the course of our half-day, ready to set up your next backcountry adventure.

The town is nicknamed the “Ski Capital of the East” in the United States because, from door-to-snow, every step of your trip will be surrounded by the magic of a unique snowy wilderness. Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!

Nate was very knowledgeable and got me to the top of mountain. He’s not as engaging as most of the guides I’ve had over the years. I’ve learned a lot about most of my climbs as guides talk about the mountain and the area maybe even plant and animals and I enjoy getting to know them better. We did talk a bit more on the way out of the trailhead. All in all a good experience. But not sure your company told him I had a knee replacement and would be slow.
