Are you looking for an exciting hiking day in a beautiful region of Italy? Well you have just found it: come to Arco and follow me to the summits of Monte Colodri & Monte Colt!

Arco is a scenic town of the Trentino-Alto Adige region, in northern Italy. On the north shore of Lake Garda, at the end of the Sarca valley, it is famous for its clean air, mild climate and marvelous landscapes. It features an old town centre at the feet of the stunning rocky face of a mountain.

On this hiking tour, we will reach the top of two low hills of Arco: Monte Colodri (340m) and Monte Colt (430m). Our pleasant and fun route goes through part of the historic center of Arco, with its medieval castle, and through a beautiful forest. Once at the top of Colodri, we will cross an amazing ridge towards Monte Colt.

From the top of these limestone rock formations, we will enjoy breathtaking views of Arco, Lake Garda and the Monte Baldo range. Furthermore, we will stand at the end of some of the popular rock climbing routes in the area!

Please keep in mind that this tour requires a good fitness level: we will complete a 5km trek with an altitude gain of 450m. However, you don’t need to be an expert hiker: this mixed terrain is perfect to test and improve your skills.

Mountain Guide

Certified mountain and ski guide and is directing since 15 years the Mountain School Mmove (former Friends of Arco). In the past, his passion had driven him for weeks to the solitude of the Alps, of Patagonia, or of the icy heights of the Karakorum to climb famous walls and peaks and open up new routes.

Today his priorities have moved. He wants to share his enthusiasm for the mountains - while working with his guests and in his spare time with his sons, as his father has once done with him. Mauro Girardi is very proud on its enthusiastic and highly qualified team of local Mountain-and Ski Guides, Hiking Guides and office employees. Mmove is not just a mountain school, but is a steadily growing circle of friends, who would like to realize great experiences. We like to Mmove it !!
