Check this heliskiing trip to a remote, untouched and really exciting area in Bell 2 Lodge, in the Skeena Mountains, British Columbia.
You have variety of heliskiing options to choose in Bell 2 Lodge, depending on your wishes and available time. We can offer you ski tours of different duration: from a 4-or-5-day trip to a full heliskiing week. It’s up o you!
Furthermore, let us tell you that Bell 2 Lodge is a modern heliski village, placed where there once was a service station for travelers on their way to the Alaska and the Yukon. This resort is 360 km far from Smithers and offers the comforts of a first class hotel with a rustic touch of the Canadian wild. Besides that, it has place for a maximum of 35 skiers each week.
Regarding the ski terrain, you’ll find huge glaciated tracks, massive tree runs and everything in between. The choice is almost limitless.
Check-in at the lodge
When you arrive to the lodge from Smithers, we will have an informal welcome session. Therefore, we can introduce you to the crew and go over the daily schedule.
Skiing and Boarding Days
Every day, before starting the skiing, the Lead-Guide will give an update on the weather, snow conditions and the specific departure times for each group.
The first day, your guide will instruct you on the use and care of the electronic avalanche transceiver and ABS Airbag. Everyone has an opportunity to practice several searches. Afterwards, you meet your pilot at the helicopter and review a helicopter safety briefing. The first groups in each helicopter generally depart the lodge daily at approximately 09:15.
Mini water bottles are provided in each helicopter. If you have a personal water bottle or hydration device, we encourage you to bring it. Lots of vertical makes for thirsty skiers and boarders.
Please Note: Skiing/riding on the last day of your tour generally ends at 15:00. We will do our best to ski or ride more if possible.
If weather conditions are unfavorable for flying, you can strap on a pair of snowshoes and explore the Bell Irving River Valley. With a little luck, you may spot a moose, wolf or other animals that frequent this area during the winter season.
A buffet breakfast is served daily at 08:00. Lunch is a relaxed picnic-style affair of homemade soup, sandwiches, hot and cold drinks AND CHOCOLATE. Apres-ski snacks served in the bar. Dinner is served at 19:00. A good selection of beer, wine and spirits are available at both of our locations.
So, please get in contact with us if you are interested in discovering one of the best terrains for heliskiing in the world, in British Columbia, while enjoying the comfort of our Bell 2 Lodge. You won’t regret it!
