Laguna de los 3 hike around Fitz Roy, in El Chaltén, Patagonia

Would you like to see the most spectacular views in the Fitz Roy Massif in the south of Argentina? Then this hike is perfect for you. We will reach the surroundings of its stunning walls and get to see its incredible ridges. Come with me on this hike to Laguna de los 3 in El Chaltén and discover one of the best spots in Patagonia.

We will meet in El Chaltén at 8 am and drive to Hosteria El Pilar, where we will start the hike through the Rio Eléctrico valley. After 2-3 hours, we will go through the Piedra Blancas Glacier viewpoint and cross the Poincenot camp. Then, we will face an hour of demanding ascent to the Laguna de Los 3. The return will take us through a different path and we will discover Laguna Capri, descending directly to El Chaltén.

This itinerary has a duration of 7-9 hours and we will cover a distance of 22 kilometers, with an elevation gain of 700 meters. Although it is not necessary to have any prior experience, it is important to have a good level of fitness.
