Type of Trip
Mount Everest (8,848m) is the king of all the world’s mountains. And on this incredible expedition, I want to guide you to its summit, a place that so many dream of, but so few actually experience.
There are 2 different routes to reach Everest’s summit: the Nepal side and the Tibet side. On this trip, we will be climbing on the Nepal side. Because Everest is the world’s greatest mountain, climbing it can easily be considered the world’s greatest challenge. Thus why this trip is only for people in peak physical condition, with extensive climbing experience.
There is no standard itinerary for this trip because there is nothing standard about Everest. However, I can provide you with a general guideline.
The adventure will begin in Kathmandu, where you will have a few days to explore the city, while we prepare for the trip to come. From Kathmandu we will fly to Lukla. After that we will trek to several places including Phakding, Namche, Tengboche, Pangboche, Dingboche, Chukhung, Lobuche, Gorak, and Shep before reaching the famous Everest base camp.
After base camp there will be plenty of rest days, training days in places like the Khumbu ice fall, and ascents and descents for acclimatization purposes. And when the team is ready, we will make our final ascent to the summit. Afterwards, we will descend the mountain and make our way back to Lukla, where we will fly back to Kathmandu, and you will head home.
If you have ever dreamed about reaching the top of Everest then this is the trip where you can do it. If you want to join me on this once in a lifetime adventure, please send me a message.
And if you want to join me on another amazing climbing adventure in Nepal, I can also guide you to the summit of Mount Manaslu (8,163m) on this expedition.

What happens if the guide cancels the trip because of bad weather/unsuitable conditions?
If bad weather or unsuitable conditions force the guide to cancel the trip, he or she will: a) propose a similar activity at a different place where conditions are better, or b) propose to postpone the activity until a later date, or c) cancel. If you refuse option a), our cancellation policy will apply. Please note, however, that the call to cancel a trip due to bad weather can only be made by the guide (not the client).
What happens if the guide doesn’t show up or cancels for personal reasons?
If the guide cancels for reason of injury or other, you will get a 100% refund on your trip.
- 4 night's bed and breakfast accommodation in Kathmandu on a twin-sharing basis whilst in Kathmandu, and in route to the Mt. Everest.
- Full board accommodation in lodges ("Tea Houses").
Any changes to the itinerary will be made with the intention of maximising the benefit to the team members and of ensuring their eventual success on the mountain. Also, if you are interested in climbing Everest via the Tibet side, I can accommodate you. Please contact me and we can discuss it.
About the Guide
I have been climbing since 1996, starting on the 8000m mountains in the Himalaya. I'm one of the few IFMGA/NNMGA certified mountain guides (Instructor) from south Asia, gaining my qualification from the New Zealand Mountain Guides Association (NZMGA) & Nepal National Mountain Guide Association (NNMGA).
I have successfully guided on Mt Everest on multiple occasions, and other 8000m peaks such as Mt Cho-oyu (8,201m) (3 times), Sisha Pangma (8,013m), Mt. Manaslu (8,163m), Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Mt. Makalu (8,463m), Mt. Lhotse (8,515m) and many more.
I have have also a strong international climbing experience and extensive knowledge of the logistics, planning and group dynamic that are also very crucial to successfully lead adventures in the Himalaya and around the world. I guided in New Zealand, Norway, France, Scotland, Thailand, Bhutan, Pakistan, India and Tibet.
I'm also a rescue expert and a technical trainer for the mountain guides training.
I very much like guiding my clients in remote places, where no tourist goes. I like also discovering new routes and peaks. Please have a look to the different trekking and mountaineering expeditions I propose and contact me if you want to discuss about them. I can of course also guide you in more 'classic' routes, just get in touch with me and let's talk about your wishes!
