Description

I invite you to join me on an incredible 2-day expedition to the Nevado Vallunaraju (5686 m)!

Located in the Chinchey Massif in the Cordillera Blanca, the Vallunaraju is one of the most popular mountains for mountain lovers. Its Quechua name means “Peak of dreams” and from its top you can enjoy beautiful views of the Andes range.

We will meet in the city of Huaraz. I propose a 2-day program. First, we will climb to Campo Morrena. It offers an incredible view of the Ranrapalca peak. The second day, we will climb up to the Nevado Vallunaraju summit! Once we get to the top, we will enjoy the most beautiful views of the surrounding peaks. Finally, we will descend back to the camp. A vehicle will be waiting for us to go back to Huaraz.

Vallunaraju is a favorite among mountaineers because it is quite accesible. Also, it’s a perfect acclimatization climb before attempting a bigger objective. However, you must have some prior experience and a good physical condition. Also, you can check the complete itinerary below this text.

If you have are interested in this program, don’t hesitate in getting in touch with me! I’ll be glad to guide you there! You can also check my Nevado Urus climbing expedition!

If you are ever in Peru to climb or trek, you MUST use Andean Peaks. Eloy and Octavio are both extremely communicative and porfession. Very safe and pleasurable experience. They held our deposit for two years due to us postponing our trip because eof covid. We had zero issues arriving two years than planned. Again, I can’t think of a better tour operator in Peru.

Excellent outdoors company. We have had one of the best experiences in the mountains thanks to the organization and coordination of the whole group, from the food, porters, installation of camps. I would definitely choose them again for any outdoor activity.

Thank you very much Andean Peaks! It was my 3rd expedition with you and every time better! I am proud to know Octavio and Eloy, two excellent professionals and a very good working team. They even repaired the sole of my double boots and saved me the trip! And the food was also very good, excelent service. See you next time and thank you very much!

Octavio wss injured and we ended up with Hector instead. He is new, but is very friendly and hard working. I would acclimatize more than the stated 3 days at one of the lagoons if you want to increase your chance at success. Communication was lacking a little prior to the trip with no contact until the day before the trip. Overall the crew was great and went above and beyond my expectations.

Where to start, the personal touch, the enjoyment, the focus on the client and safety. A truly enjoyable experience with both brothers. The only bad thing I would say is that the experiences have to come to an end. They have made our honeymoon truly memorable and I wouldn’t change a moment. I would highly recommend using andeanpeaks.com if you want a safe and enjoyable experience with well trained, likeable, friendly, personal and experienced guides. I cannot praise enough. Thank you so so much

We had 10 days in the Cordillera Blanca and Octavio helped us plan a great trip. We did Laguna 69 day trip, Santa Cruz trek, climbing in Hatunmachay, ice climbing and trekking on Mount Pisco. The trip was very well organised and equipment provided was of high quality. Octavio is an experienced mountain guide and climber so we always felt safe throughout the trip. We had a great chef with us when camping and always enjoyed the food he prepared. Also enjoyed chatting to Octavio in the evenings and hearing his great stories!

We had 10 days in Andes (Huaraz as base) and wanted to get a mix of trekking, rock climbing and mountaineering. Contacted Andean Peaks who helped me organize the whole trip. Octavio, who was our main guide and one of the owners of the company was super helpful and quick to respond on both emails and Whatsapp. Octavio is a qualified professional mountain guide. Apart from this, he's also a super friendly guy an a good climber. Bonus points for always being punctual, having great equipment/tents etc, good chef (cooked pizza for us at 4600m!). Highly recommend. Activites: 1 day Laguna 69, 3 day Santa Cruz Trek, 2 days rock climbing, 1 day Ice wall climbing and 3 day Pisco mountain.

Octavio was very responsive with communication considering he's in the mountains most of the time. Octavio is an experienced guide and very accommodating with teaching new skills and techniques. The trip was well organized with all aspects accounted for making the trips enjoyable. During the climbs I felt I was in good hands all the time. The food was certainly a highlight of the trip, 5 star restaurant quality like and better. Will certainly be returning to climb with Andeanpeaks in the near future. Thanks to Octavio and the team!

This guys are great. They are certified mountain guides. The food in the camp was better than the restaurants in Huaraz. You feel safe in their hands all the way to the summit. We climbed 3 mountains in the same tour Ishinca, urus and Tocllaraju. Many thanks to the team they make of the tour a fun place during the climb and in base camp. Totally recommendable

I had an excellent time with Octavio and the whole team at the mountaineering course on yanapaccha mountain in huascaran national park. The preparation was perfect for the final summit day and my first 5000m peak! Octavia and his team always took care of me and were the perfect partners for this incredible experience! Thank you so much!
