Description

Come join me on this Piau Engaly 2-day off-piste snowboarding course and let me teach you how to make the most out of any ski resort backcountry terrain.

I’ve designed this off-piste snowboarding course to help those of you with good skiing technique to go much further when approaching a mountain.

So, I will show you how to deal with different types of snow: first I’ll let you know some tips on how to recognize them and then you’ll follow me downhill while I show you the best riding techniques.

I’ve chosen Piau Engaly ski resort, located in the heart of the Pyrenees, for this course because of the great amount of snow that it receives every year, which will allow us to find some excellent powder runs very close to the lifts.

During the course I will also teach you a little on routes planification and safety techniques -including avalanche risks-. Finally we’ll go over some gear checklist so you know how to use the equipment properly and how to maintain it.

Does this Piau Engaly 2-day off-piste snowboarding course sound interesting? Then please send me a request and let’s start planning how to improve your backcountry snowboarding skills while we have a fun time riding!

And if you want to try another outdoor activity in Spain, please also check my Grand Paradiso and Mont Blanc guided ascent.

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Martin for his exceptional planning and guidance throughout our first trip to the Alps. Not only is he an incredibly friendly and easygoing individual to be around, but he also possesses remarkable climbing skills and serves as an outstanding guide who readily imparts his mountain knowledge and passion. Martin displayed an impressive level of flexibility when it came to our itinerary. He seamlessly adjusted the route for our initial climb to align with our learning aspirations, all the while prioritizing our safety. Even when an adverse weather forecast emerged for the final two days of our journey, Martin quickly managed the situation and found alternative, equally captivating solutions that allowed us to continue our climbing pursuits, all while making consulting with us. I wholeheartedly recommend Martin to anyone looking to explore mountaineering, whether they are novices or seasoned climbers in need of a guide. Overall, our trip could not have been more rewarding, and we are undoubtedly inclined to select Martin as our guide for our future escapades!

My son and I had a great trip to the top of the Gran Paradiso under the guidance of Martin Elorza. It was the first time to make use of explore-share and, like any system, you need to get used to it but it all goes quite intuitively. Moreover, there are system moderators in between the clients and the guides to ensure that everything goes smooth. If something in the system would not go as planned, they typically intervene quickly, such that one can be reassured. The trip itself was well planned and professionally guided. Martin gave a clear overview upfront and we communicated efficiently prior to the trip. Apart from being a very professional and experienced guide, Martin also proved to be a great person, such that we only have positive memories about our trip. The recommendation to go for the Gran Paradiso ascent (rather than the Mont Blanc) was a very good advice, given our beginner's level. Not sure when yet, but we look forward to a next experience!

Martin was really the perfect guide for my and my 17-year old son’s alpine adventure week! In the end we only climbed one out of the three peaks that we had planned to, but on the other hand we climbed three other great ones instead (something we decided together). I really appreciated his flexibility and also that it was easy to hang out with Martin. Best recommendations - wouldn’t hesitate to reach out to him again!

Martin provided us with a challenging weekend that stretched and developed our skiing a lot. He was very responsive to our feedback tailoring the programme as we went. Would absolutely book him again.

We enjoyed this trip in the Alps very much!! It was an excellent introduction to mountaineering and the stunning peaks of the Alps massive. Our guide Martin made the full experience a succes; pushing us to the limits, keeping us safe at difficult rocky ascents, but also taking time to enjoy the scenery and the climb. Thanks a lot for the beautiful pictures too!

Excellent experience! Martin is a real expert guide and he managed to adapt the program even when the snow conditions were poor so that we still got to do everything we wanted. Very honest, reliable, and friendly guide. He's very education focussed so we came away from the holiday with a lot of new skills as well. Outstanding trip.

This was a great 4-day hut-to-hut ski experience in the Pyrenees. The national park of Aiguestortes is beautiful and we had a lot of snow. Martin is a professional and social guide. He makes sure that the trip takes place from a pleasant and secure way. Due to the weather conditions we couldn't do the climb to the Montardo and to the Ratera, but Martin organized some alternatives to enjoy the 4 days. We were an international group and could communicate with Martin in English.
