Iris Slab (2590m) is the ideal spot to spend a morning, afternoon or full day climbing alongside family and friends in the Eastern Sierras beautiful Rock Creek Canyon. Both accessible to beginners and fun for more experienced climbers, the slab is a superb option for mixed-level groups. Get outside, be active and have fun!
Easily reached via the Rock Creek Canyon Road, Iris Slab is made up of several single pitch routes ranging in difficulty from 5.5 – 5.10 that can be climbed with a top rope or traditionally, depending on your level of experience.
Rock Creek Lake, a popular destination for day hiking and camping during the summer months, is located right down the road, as is the Rock Creek Lakes Resort. This is a great place to wind down and enjoy a meal and drinks after an active day at Iris Slab.
Several other rock climbing and bouldering spots are located throughout the Rock Creek Canyon for those who want to continue exploring the area vertically.
Spend the day bonding with family and friends while you climb Iris Slab. Request to book now.
I also recommend the day trip to nearby Mt. Emerson for beginners and multi-level groups who want to do multiple climbs in the area.
Solo climbers are also more than welcome to join us at any time.

First class operation from beginning to end. Ryan (I believe owner or manager) provided the best customer service from the moment I contacted him as a result of a search on the internet. He set everything up with ease, always staying in touch and making sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend him for climbing at any level.

Ryan, Tim, Scott, and Ben were all very friendly, professional, and super knowledgeable. I know there's an inherent risk in climbing, but I'm confident I can use what I learned from this program and climb much more safely outdoors. I'll be signing up for their other programs!
