Looking for a challenging ascent in Tibet? You’ve come to the right place! Discover what the world looks like from the top of Shishapangma, one of the highest peaks in the world.
At 8,013 meters above sea level, Shishapangma is the 14th highest summit in the world and the last of the 8000-meter mountains. It is located in Tibet near the border with Nepal.
First of all, our meeting point for this expedition will be Kathmandu, the capital and biggest city of Nepal. We’ll pick you up at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Then, during the first part of our adventure, we will discover the culture of Kathmandu and visit some of its highlights. At the bottom of the page, you will find a detailed description of each day’s activities.
Finally, take into account that this ascent is demanding and challenging. We’ll face low levels of temperature and pressure. The descent from the summit also represents a challenge. During some sections of the climb, we’ll need to put oxygen masks. Therefore, keep in mind that you need some mountaineering experience and a good fitness level to join.
So, are you ready for a unique experience in Tibet? Then send your request to book this expedition and get ready to reach the summit of the amazing Shishapangma!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
