Description

Conquer an exciting mountain to the southwest of Lake Tahoe on a phenomenal guided backcountry skiing day! This guided program allows you to skin up Silver Peak and ski tour around its stunning countryside while enjoying a peaceful day on the slopes of Lake Tahoe and the world-class powder of the Sierra Nevada!

With a never-ending supply of mountains to ski and an even wider range of wilderness terrain to explore, Lake Tahoe is a winter sport paradise. Just up from Squaw Valley and its Olympic-caliber terrain and conditions lies Silver Peak, an exciting and oft-forgotten paradise of unrivaled skiing. This is a long tour with steep terrain, the perfect combination for proficient skiers to have the time of their lives and an epic day of skiing.

Silver Peak is a local gem, remaining relatively isolated from its busy neighbors (Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows) right next door. This allows your program to remain a personal affair, allowing you a serene and fulfilling climb into gorgeous wilderness and taking on an exhilarating mountain. What begins as a low-angled ascent turns into a 1,500 foot climb to an east facing bowl.

The terrain is varied, from the Alpine bowl to tree-lined runs and plenty of open glades. Finding routes can be difficult, so intermediate and advanced skiers will be comfortable enough to have a blast. I will ensure a safe and satisfying time skinning up and skiing down Silver Peak. The significant amount of climbing combined with powder skiing is the perfect balance for an unforgettable ski trip.

You should be in good shape to take part in this program. This means a skiing proficiency and the ability to ski through difficult backcountry. We will spend a full day in the incredible terrain of Tahoe and Silver Peak, so the mental fortitude to successfully complete this goal is vital to the program’s success.

Book this amazing Silver Peak backcountry skiing program NOW and spend a day climbing to one of the storied peaks around Lake Tahoe and ski touring the satisfying backcountry of the Sierra Nevada!

We can also take on another area around Lake Tahoe and enjoy a backcountry skiing day on Anderson Ridge!

Guide cancelled within 48 hrs and I was unable to find someone else and so far I’ve not been refunded. Put a small dent in my otherwise great trip to Revelstoke.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!
