DAY 1

First at all, we cross the Manso River at the end of Lake Mascardi. Then, we walk along the Laguna Azul up to the valley.

After lunch, we climb the ridge to the Ilon Lagoon. Then, we trek along the Jujuy Lagoon and reach a stunning viewpoint of Mount Tronador. 

Finally, we follow the Ilon Lagoon downhill to our campsite and have dinner watching the stars.

DAY 2

First in the morning, we visit the Mirada del Doctor viewpoint towards Lake Frey and Lake Nahuel Huapi. After lunch, we trek towards the Meiling Refuge and follow up the valley with an amazing view to the Castaño Overo Glacier.

In the evening, we arrive to the hut and enjoy the view of the Andes and the flight of the Andean Condor. Also, we have candle light dinner.

Optional: 3km horse ride.

DAY 3

After breakfast, we explore the glacier just 200 meters from the refuge with all the necessary equipment. We trek along crevasses up to 40 meters deep and try a bit of ice. Finally, we have lunch at the refuge and go back to Bariloche.

The tour in the glacier is 100% safe with the complete equipment.
