Description

Triglav National Park is one of the oldest protected areas in Europe, lying in the north-west of Slovenia. Discover its beauty on this 3-day hiking traverse!

This natural area is a paradise of pristine lakes, rivers, gorges and waterfalls, covering most of the peaks of the Julian Alps. In fact, its main attraction is Mt Triglav (2864 m), the highest and most iconic peak of the country.

During this hiking trip, we'll visit some of the most beautiful spots in this Slovenian national park. And of course, we'll reach the summit of Mt Triglav!

Our starting point will be Savica waterfall, a stunning waterfall with clear water. Each day will involve between 8 to 10 hours of hike.

We'll spend the nights at two different mountain huts: the popular Kredarica mountain hut and Dolic mountain hut.

For further details, you can find the itinerary below this description.

Please, contact me if you want to spend 3 days in Triglav National Park. I can assure you it will be a memorable experience!

However, if you are looking for a shorter trip or maybe just climbing Triglav, you can check this 2-day Triglav climb from Vrata Valley.

Mountain Guide

I am IFMGA qualified mountain guide and a professor of Physical Education based in Tržič, Slovenia. I have been discovering mountains for the last 30 years from Slovenia to the Himalayas.

Sports have been a central part of my life since I was a kid. I started training in a football team and then I discovered the freedom of mountains. Climbing, off piste skiing, paragliding and mountain biking are my favorite activities.

I enjoy helping other people to learn sports. Discovering new places from a different prospective - climbing high mountains, steep rock faces, skiing powder, flying or mountain biking are my passion. I like nature and I have to go outdoors every day.

If you want to discover Slovenian mountains you can join me and it will be memorable!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
