Lying in the north-east part of Trentino, Val Di Fassa is one of the most beautiful valleys in the Dolomites. It’s also a top destination for climbers.

In fact, there are several attractive via ferratas in this area. By taking a secure route, you can reach the summit of many peaks and enjoy stunning views.

I propose to meet at Pozza di Fassa and take two via ferratas: via ferrata delle Scalette and Catinaccio d’Antermoia. Both of them are in the Catinaccio group (a Dolomite massif that also receives the name of Rosengarten).

They are medium level ferratas, with a long tour of 1100 mt gain. Set in a beautiful scenery, this itinerary will allow you to enjoy Val Di Fassa in a unique way, as we’ll be far from the crowded spots. Among other sights, you’ll see the beautiful rock towers of Larsec.

Please, let me know if you want to join for an exciting journey in Val Di Fassa! I’ll be happy to be your guide in such a nice area of the Dolomites.

If you are looking for more difficult via ferratas, I can take you to other routes far away from Bolzano. Besides, you can also consider this 6-day hiking and via ferrata traverse.

    About the Guide

I started my career as an aerospace engineer, my first passion and then became a full-time IFMGA mountain guide, my second passion, since 2013. Working as a mountain guide gratifies me a lot. I enjoy very much transmitting my knowledge about the mountains and its activities to my friends and clients. I’m based in the Dolomites where I have climbed most of the mountain surroundings us here, including “Via attraverso il Pesce” in Marmolada and “Captain sky-hook” in Civetta. I also enjoy a lot guiding in the rest of the Alps, ice climbing, ski touring, freeride skiing, rock climbing and mountaineering. Feel free to contact me if you want to live a great adventure in the Dolomites or anywhere else in the Alps, during the winter or the summer. It will be a great pleasure for me to guide you and allow you to reach your goal.
