Situated around 80 km from the city of Córdoba in Argentina, Los Gigantes is a massive system of granite rocks which form part of the Sierras Grandes. The landscape here is phenomenal and its the perfect setting for outdoor activities like rock climbing and hiking.
Hiking to the summit of Cerro de La Cruz which sits at 2185 meters is a great plan and from the top, you’ll get panoramic views of the Córdoba countryside. The journey to the summit of El Mogote at 2374 meters is also worthwhile. Exploring the surrounding terrain is also essential and it’s there that you’ll find beautiful valleys, waterfalls and more.
The summers are hot and dry and the winters tend to be mild with quite a lot of rainfall.
Fly to Buenos Aires then to Córdoba and drive or transfer to Los Gigantes.
You can visit all year round but the spring and summer months from October to April are the most pleasant.
